A pond brings life into your garden
provided it is set up correctly.
Step 1
Determine the circumference of your pond and mark it out with sand or a hosepipe.
Step 2
Plan the different pond areas (bog area 20cm, shallow water area 50 cm, and deep water area 70cm).
Step 3
Dig the hole and shape the different areas.
Step 4
Remove all stones, roots and other sharp objects, cover with pond fleece or a 10 cm thick layer of sand.
Step 5
Lay out the liner and spread over the pond area. When you fill the pond with water, the liner gradually begins to shape itself in the pond.
Step 6
Form the edge of the pond with stone liner and gravel. In time this will create a natural blending with the garden.
Step 7
Now you can start planting. Use our planting baskets for this.
Step 8
Now site the technical elements – pumps, filters and UVC – where you want them and switch on.
Step 9
Site the lighting, by placing lamps both in and out of the water.
Step 10
Top up the remaining water and site the decorative items.
Step 11
All set!
